User Profile

I am starting off 2008 with the intention of trying to regain some of the energy and resilience which I seem to have used up over the past few decades. Therefore I plan to have a fairly quiet life involving lots of time at home with my family, growing food in the garden, studying hard for my early childhood education degree (part-time, externally) and trying to learn to relax. I am a mum to three beautiful young people aged 21, 18 and 13 years. The two older ones are studying fulltime at uni and the younger son is in first year of High School. I have two wonderful sisters who are aslo active contributors to live journal.

I enjoy lots of different types of music - traditional irish (live and recorded), contemporary australian artists such as Blue King Brown, Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio, Cat Empire, Missy Higgins and many others. I also have an eclectic range of other favourites like Johnny Cash and Van Morrison, etc.

Well it is now well into 2000. Not a great deal of changes need to be made to my profile now. Still pretty much focused on the things listed above. One new change is that I have just started a new job as a teacher-aide at a school of distance education. Am enjoying this role heaps and also feeling good about being able to once again enter into the workforce in a job which feels worthwhile and fulfilling to me.
